The Partnering to leverage the power of G20

Image
Glad to have met Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on the sidelines of the Rio de Janeiro G20 Summit. Our talks centred around deepening ties in defence, security, trade and technology. We also talked about how to boost cooperation in culture, education and other such areas. India-Italy friendship can greatly contribute to a better planet. Partnering to leverage the power of technology for a greener world!  The Declaration on Digital Public Infrastructure, AI and Data for Governance offers a roadmap towards a more sustainable planet. I thank the distinguished world leaders for their passion and support to this effort. We will continue the focus on the transformative potential of DPI, AI and data-driven governance to advance the SDGs and enhance lives globally. This is an area where India stands ready to contribute actively and share our best practices with the world.

Canadian police target Indian Hindus

Image
Canadian police arresting the very Hindus who called them for protection from the Khalistanis. Hindu Volunteer speaks out against Canadian Khalistani violence. Khalistani goons beat her with sticks but Canadian Police remained a mute spectators. This is Justin Trudeau’s Canada where Khalistani terrorists are state guests but Canadian Hindu civilians have no rights. Two tier policing in Canada at its finest. You can burn the Canadian flag, you can stomp on an Israeli flag in front of a synagogue, you can rip up Indian Flags while screaming threats at people. But if you step on a Khalistani flag the cops will attack you. We’ve already seen him turn his back on Christians as their churches burn and Jews as they’re attacked and shot at in their communities.  In Canada, attacks on Hindu communities are relentless. In the UK, we have seen them hunted down in the streets. In Bangladesh, they are slaughtered, and in Pakistan, they are tortured and killed. Afghanistan's Hindu populat...

The Hinduphobial reaches Western institutions

Image
Concordia University in Canada has been accused of promoting Hinduphobia after hosting an event that labeled Hindu Canadians as "Hindutva fascists" and barred Hindu students from attending. The event, held on the eve of India's Independence Day, further fueled concerns about the university's role in fostering anti-Hindu sentiments.  This incident follows a similar event in 2021, where speakers equated Hinduism with "Hindutva" and called for its dismantling. Students and community members are calling for a thorough investigation and action against the university's alleged promotion of Hinduphobia.

American Airlines flight attendants threatening to strike

Image
American Airlines has a major problem on the way. The airline is close to facing a strike from its unionized flight attendants after the company failed to negotiate a new contract that includes higher pay.  After the news came out that flight attendants at the company make around $27,000 annually before taxes and incentives. The union warned that American Airlines flight attendants should gear up to strike even though it is illegal for airline workers to do so unless they receive permission from the federal government.

The Republican Party ready for Trump in jail during nomination

Image
The Republican National Committee (RNC) is planning for the possibility of former President Trump, the GOP presumptive nominee, being jailed during the national convention, the party's chair said on Tuesday.  Trump has vowed to appeal the verdict, and seems unlikely to face a jail term during such an appeal. But the RNC wants to be prepared as it could be an embarrassment. RNC's co-chair Lara Trump similarly mentioned on Sunday that the RNC needs to be "ready for anything" in regard to Trump, but she stated the committee will have 'several plans' in place to pivot to as the convention nears.  The former president wants mega donor Miriam Adelson’s money, but in return she wants Israeli sovereignty over West Bank. Though Trump has been maintaining a lead in the polls over President Joe Biden for seven months, reports are growing of a financial panic. Trump trails Biden in fundraising, and spending, much of the donations go to a battery of lawyers in four crimi...
