American Airlines flight attendants threatening to strike

American Airlines has a major problem on the way. The airline is close to facing a strike from its unionized flight attendants after the company failed to negotiate a new contract that includes higher pay. 

After the news came out that flight attendants at the company make around $27,000 annually before taxes and incentives. The union warned that American Airlines flight attendants should gear up to strike even though it is illegal for airline workers to do so unless they receive permission from the federal government.

All eyes on "Sharmistha" Case

  Sharmistha has been placed under judicial custody, meaning she is being sent to jail for at least the next few days while legal proceedings continue. Here’s what happened: Police custody was denied: The court did not allow police to keep her for interrogation or further detention. Instead, she was placed in judicial custody, which means she’ll be held in a regular jail - not a police station. Her legal team applied for bail, but the court denied it. They also asked the judge to consolidate (or “club”) all the current legal complaints (FIRs {First Information Reports}) against her - including both known and possibly future ones - so the case can be handled as one matter. The judge has said they’ll consider it. The top ISIS leader in Somalia was target to US airstrike

A US Military airstrike in Solaliya targeted the top Islamic State leader in late May. But it means unclear if the leader was killed in the strike, according to U.S. officials. Abdulqadir Munin has been identified by the U.S. as the head of the Islamic State in Somalia, an African affiliate of the terror group once know as ISIS. A statement from U.S. Africa Command disclosed that on May 31, it had conducted an airstrike in a remote area of northeastern Somalia that killed three militants affiliated with the Islamic State. Three U.S. officials confirmed to US News Channel that the target of the strike was the top leader of the Islamic State in Somalia whom the National counter-terrorism center identified as Mumin. However, the U.S. officials said it remained unclear if Mumin had been killed in the airstrike.
