The Partnering to leverage the power of G20

Glad to have met Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on the sidelines of the Rio de Janeiro G20 Summit. Our talks centred around deepening ties in defence, security, trade and technology. We also talked about how to boost cooperation in culture, education and other such areas. India-Italy friendship can greatly contribute to a better planet. Partnering to leverage the power of technology for a greener world! 


The Declaration on Digital Public Infrastructure, AI and Data for Governance offers a roadmap towards a more sustainable planet. I thank the distinguished world leaders for their passion and support to this effort. We will continue the focus on the transformative potential of DPI, AI and data-driven governance to advance the SDGs and enhance lives globally. This is an area where India stands ready to contribute actively and share our best practices with the world.

The Reasi Terror Attack

  J&K: On the Reasi terror attack , SSP Reasi Mohita Sharma says, "The militants fired upon the bus yesterday... 9 people are reportedly dead and 33 were injured and are being treated in different hospitals. As per eyewitnesses, 2 (terrorists) were there. Combing operation is underway in the area. 5 teams have been formed to search in the area."  The terrorists opened fire on a bus with Hindu pilgrims from the Shivkhoda temple in Kashmir. The driver lost control and the bus rolled down a gorge, Many wounded are in critical condition. Now India should respond in the same language that Pakistan understands.  First of all, the terrorists shot the driver in the forehead from the front, after which the bus fell into the ditch. Landed in Italy to take part in the G7 Summit.

The group of seven nations wrapped up their first day of meetings in Italy. The summit was dominated by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and efforts to support the embattled nation. Leaders agreed on a framework for a 50 billion dollar loan for Ukraine, utilities interest generated from Frozen Russian assets held by G7 nations.  The India Looking forward to engaging in productive discussions with world leaders. Together, we aim to address global challenges and foster international cooperation for a brighter future. Had an excellent meeting with President Emmanuel Macron. This is our fourth meeting in one year, indicating the priority we accord to strong India-French ties. Our talks covered numerous subjects such as defence, security, technology, AI, Blue Economy and more. We also discussed how to encourage innovation and research among the youth.
