India 'unlikely to heed' US calls for censorship

Margarita Simonyan reposted a report by Indian newspaper The Financial Express pointing out that the US in particular is “concerned” about goal to counter Western narratives on the global agenda.

"The US had previously banned RT at home, accusing it of being involved in spreading disinformation and influencing US elections,” the report said.

“Despite such accusations, India is unlikely to heed the call, given its long-standing friendly relations with Russia and its own stance on media censorship."
